Anyone who has ever experienced a Brazilian wax will understand just how personal the process can be.
This was certainly true for one woman who was left quite bewildered after receiving an unexpected message following her first Brazilian wax, a treatment that removes most or all pubic hair.
Sarah Button, from Australia, took to social media to share her experience after the appointment, and has since received a flood of support from people criticizing the waxer for sending such an 'outrageous' text.
The message in question began by addressing Sarah, 27, with the term 'hun' before revealing the surprising reason she would be charged up to $10 more for her next visit.

"Just for future reference, I’ll have to charge you a bit more due to the size of the area," the waxer explained. "I hope you understand, nothing major, just an extra $5 or $10."
Screenshots of the text exchange showed Sarah replying 'no worries,' but it’s evident that she is not okay with how she was treated.
Sarah, who has previously mentioned on social media that she has a 'fatty upper pubic area' - often known as a FUPA - told news.com.au: "Initially, I felt a bit sad, confused, and embarrassed, but that quickly turned to anger, and I was really upset about the entire situation."

She added: "Mostly upset that it wasn’t brought up during the consultation or the actual appointment itself.
"It wasn’t until I got home that I received the message."
After she posted the text on social media, some argued that a larger area might require more product, justifying the additional charge.

However, most people were equally appalled by the situation, with one person advising: "That is absurd. Don’t go back there."
"She can't send you that," another person stated, while a third chimed in: "Absolutely not."
A fourth person commented: "That's ridiculous. The audacity of that person."
And another echoed: "Babe, as a professional in this field, that is nonsense."
